The 2022 Intramural Open!

Basic info:

It's that time again! The Open is upon us and in true Islander style, we are focused on Community OVER Competition. The Intramural open has all the fun and challenging aspects of the worldwide open but brings the attention to our community and builds a team-like atmophere. What can you expect during the open? Comraderie, spirit, goals being crushed, fun, sweat and maybe even an albino python (All FACTS).

But what is the "Open"? 

Well... in a nutshell this is where finding the fittest on earth all begins. It consists of three workouts over the course of three weeks. Each workout is announced on Thursday and must be performed before Monday evening. At Islander we perform the Open workouts during the GPP classes on Friday's! We will also be offering some extra open gym time during the open in case you miss Friday! Not interested in being "fittest on earth" thats ok, neither are we! 

The format this year will be just like last year. It will begin with a registration period (NOW!), team captain selection, drafting, recruiting and then throwing down for 3 weeks of fun with your team! 

We are keeping the points/scoring system completely SECRET until the captains and teams have been selected! 

Registration fees will go towards prizes throughout the challenge. 

SO WHO IS IN? Remember this is a time of year to test your fitness, push your own personal comfort zone and to create ever lasting memories! Avoid the FOMO's and just sign up! This event is for everyone no matter how long you've been with us! There is no specific fitness level required to participate. This is a 100% inclusive event for ALL!
